Carpentry is what holds a renovation together. Framing sets the walls straight and plumb, and finish carpentry is what you see every day: trim, doors, casings and stairs that either look sharp or look rushed.
We handle both ends of the job for homes and commercial spaces. That means framing new walls and openings during a remodel, then coming back for baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings, interior doors and custom woodwork.
We also take on carpentry repairs: sticking doors, damaged trim, loose stair treads, rotted sills and the small fixes that pile up in older buildings. Every job ends with the site swept and cleaned.

Carpentry for older Greater Boston buildings
Much of Greater Boston was built between 1890 and 1930. Triple-deckers in Chelsea, Somerville and East Boston often have out-of-level floors, walls that are not square and original trim that is hard to match. Good carpentry here means scribing, shimming and adjusting on site, not forcing standard pieces into crooked openings.
For homeowners: structural framing changes in Massachusetts usually need a building permit, and pre-1978 homes fall under lead-safe work rules when old painted trim or walls are disturbed. Ask about both before any demolition starts.
