A remodel touches many trades at once. When nobody owns the schedule, jobs stall between steps. We keep demolition, carpentry, drywall, flooring, tile and finish work under one team, with Wanderson running the job himself.

You get one point of contact who answers the same day, in English, Portuguese or Spanish. We plan the order of work, keep the site clean and organized and tell you early if something behind a wall changes the plan.

Work that legally needs licensed trades, like electrical and most plumbing, is handled by licensed professionals, and permits are pulled when the scope requires them. When the last room is finished, we clean the whole space and walk through every detail with you, so nothing is left for later.

The short answer

What kind of home remodeling does WS Construction do?

Projects range from a single room to a full floor: demolition, framing and carpentry, drywall, flooring and tile, cabinet installation, trim and a final cleaning. The owner, Wanderson, runs each job. Estimates are free, there is no visit fee, and our work carries a workmanship warranty.

Remodeling Greater Boston triple-deckers and older homes

Much of the housing in Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Somerville, East Boston and Worcester is triple-deckers and homes built between 1890 and 1930. Opening walls can reveal plaster and lath, old wiring, uneven framing and floors that slope. We budget time for this in the plan and tell you right away when we find something.

Many of these buildings are owner-occupied multi-families or condos converted from them, so work often happens while neighbors live upstairs. We keep noise reasonable, protect shared hallways and clean up every day. For homes built before 1978, lead-safe work practices apply, and Massachusetts generally requires contractors working on owner-occupied 1-4 unit homes to be registered as home improvement contractors.

Frequently asked questions

Renovation costs vary widely with size, condition and finishes. As a rough market guide, a single-room makeover in Greater Boston can run from about $10,000 to $40,000, while larger multi-room or full-floor renovations often reach $100 to $300 or more per square foot. Older homes may need extra prep. Get a free estimate for your exact price.
Often, yes. Many homeowners stay during room-by-room work. We plan the order of work so kitchens and bathrooms are out of use for as little time as possible, contain dust and clean up daily. For full gut renovations, staying elsewhere for part of the job is sometimes easier. We talk through this at the visit.
Yes. We work on condos, multi-family units and apartments between tenants, including flooring, drywall, carpentry, bathroom and kitchen updates and a final post-construction cleaning so the unit is ready to show. Tell us your move-in date and we plan the schedule around it.
Permits depend on the scope and your city. Structural changes, plumbing and electrical work usually need permits, and some of that work must be done by licensed trades. We talk through what your project needs during the estimate, and you should confirm local requirements with your building department before work begins.
We accept Zelle or bank transfer, check and cash. We do not offer financing. Payment terms are laid out clearly in the estimate before any work starts, so you know what is due and when. Questions about the estimate? Text us on WhatsApp at (857) 326-0243.
